January

Pine Lane Trail
Erin hiking the Pine Lane Trail on a very cold day.
Boston
I captured this cool photo of Boston Harbor from the airplane on a surprise trip to visit my friend Eric.

February

Cuyahoga Falls
On an unseasonably warm day I rode my bike to check out the newly reopened Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls.

I have to show some of my main business - product photography. Its been so cool to become the photographer for my friends at Earthquaker Devices.

March

Hale Farm
The blacksmith at Hale Farm - we visited during the Maple Sugar Festival.
Taxes
Taxes.

April

Pont du Gard
A true bucket shot - I've wanted to visit the Pont du Gard in Southern France since I first saw in history books as a kid. The sun only came out for about a half an hour - but that was all I needed.
Lyon
Yes - both April photos are going to be in France. Our time in Lyon was too short - such a beautiful city.

May

Toledo
I had a shoot in Toledo so Erin and I made a weekend out of it. I really dig the colors and composition in this photo.
Wildflowers
I did sneak in a little nature photography this year. I captured this in the Cuyahoga Valley.

June

Photographing the photographer on the Akron2Akron Kenmore Music walking tour.

Judging the lattes at the Latte Art Throwdown at Akron Coffee Roasters.

July

Miller Ferry
Riding the Miller Ferry to Put-In-Bay.
Demolition Derby
I shot this on the RubberCityRatz annual ride to the demolition derby at the Summit County Fair.

August

GAP Trail
Erin and I rode the GAP Trail for her birthday - we spent 3 days putting in 165 miles - here she is with our bikes at the end of the line in Pittsburgh.
Sigma 105mm Art Tests
My big purchase this year was a Sigma 105mm f/1.4 lens. It is an amazing piece of glass - here I'm testing it out on Brad.

September

How awesome is this? On the Roof of Goodyear Hall during the Akron2Akron Middlebury walking tour.

I photographed a new fundraiser for the Ohio and Erie Canalway Coalition - The Towpath 50. Riding my bike and working is as good as it gets.

October

Marietta
Erin walking along the Ohio River on a fall trip to Marietta. The oldest city in the Western Reserve - it had long been on my list as a place to photograph.
Akron Art Museum
The Akron Art Museum on an autumn day - I love the grey and red contrast in this photograph.

November

Boston
The oldest public building in the US - surrounded by layers of history. Once the tallest on the site - now dwarfed by buildings from the last couple centuries. I love the mix of modern and history in Boston.
Law Library
On a trip to Ann Arbor it was recommended we check out the Law Library at the University of Michigan - it did not disappoint. Look at the students at the bottom of the frame for size reference.

December

Wooly Pig Farm Brewery
Erin photographing the Wooly Pigs at Wooly Pig Farm Brewery. This was such a great place - and the dog in the foreground was a cool as they come.
Stan Hywet Hall
My family has been going to 'Deck the Hall' at Stan Hywet for years - getting there at dusk this year made for some super-cool shots.
